George C Baltz, son of William and Annie Harris Baltz, married Janie Mae Bibbie, daughter of Alexander and Martha Gaines Gillenwater, in 1933 in Tompkins County, NY.

"Mrs. Janie N. Bibbie of 212 Cascadilla Street and George C. Baltz of 116 Third Street were married at 9 p.m. by the Rev. D.M. Byrd, pastor of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church.
The couple was attended by Juanita Johnson and William Johnson. Guests present included Nanie Jones, Mrs. Pauline Byrd, Miss Edith Mann, and Carl Shelby."

  In 1934, George C. Baltz of 118 Third St, Ithaca, NY applied for Veteran's Benefits for his service during WWI. According to the form, he was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1893, lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania when he was inducted August 1918, and served in the 46th Co.12th Tr.Bn, 158th Depot Brigade from August-Dec 1918 when he was honorably discharged as a corporal at Camp Sherman, Ohio.
  In 1934 when he applied for these benefits he listed as dependents, his wife Janie Baltz, no minor children, and his mother Annie Still all living at 118 Third St, Ithaca.
