Brothers George and Louis Comes started the Little Garden Lunch and Grill at 128 E Green St in about 1924. Louis continued to run it until 1952. George Comes later ran the Deluxe Bowling Alley 121 N Aurora St and Ithaca Bowling Center 402-406 E State St as well as the Olympia Restaurant at 208 N Tioga St.

"George D. Comes of 213 E State St., proprietor of the Olympia Restaurant at 208 N. Tioga St., died unexpectedly Saturday.... Mr. Comes would have been 64 on Wednesday. He was born Jan. 13, 1890, in Xercombi-Laconia, Greece. He had been a resident of Ithaca for many years.
His N. Tioga St. restaurant was frequented by Ithaca College students, city officials, press and radio personnel, among other businessmen."
