108-110 North Aurora St. Historic name: Zinck’s

"Three-story, six-bay, dark red brick commercial building; street-level facade has two altered storefronts (ca. 1960), but retains a period stairhall entrance between the storefronts; upper stories (20th century remodeling) retain rectangular windows, stone lintels and sills, and historic one-over-one sash; simple stepped brick cornice at the roofline. Built ca. 1873; storefront alterations ca. 1960.
Historical note: In 1880, Theodore Zinck opened his saloon and hotel, the Hotel Brunswick, which became a legendary watering hole for Cornell students. Zinck ran the saloon until his death in 1903. The bar was revived in 1906 and remained open in this location until 1944. Zinck’s restaurant moved across the street and remained open until 1967."
