Gordon Scott Little, his wife Barbara, and their children moved from 120 Warren Road across the road to 111 Crest Lane in 1955. Once a part of the Warren farm, Crest Lane was subdivided by
Mrs. Mary W. Warren in 1948 when she decided to retire from farming. This was the second major subdivision of the Warren farm land for residential purposes, Halcyon Hill having been the first, some 40 years earlier. Most of the houses on Crest Lane were built around the same time.
The Littles bought one of the lots and chose a prefabricated house from National Homes. Jennings of Groton prepared the site and erected the house from prefabricated panels, which included the windows and doors. The roof, chimney, and some electrical and plumbing work were done on site.
