Obituary for John K. Devine
The Ithaca Journal, Jan 1 1977, P. 4, Col. 4.

"LOCKE - John K. Devine, 59, of R.D. 2, Locke, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1976 in Tompkins County Hospital after a long illness.
  Born in Stevensville, Pa., Mr. Devine was a former Ithaca resident and had lived in Locke for the past 30 years.
  He was employed by Cornell University before retirement, and was a member of the former King Ferry Church of the Brethren.
  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Olive Nedrow Devine of Locke; two sons, J. Kenneth Devine Jr. and Timothy G. Devine, both of Locke, three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Doris) Perkins of Groton, Mrs. Lois Dell'Aquila Hopner of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Quick of Rochester; a brother, Charles Devine of Vestal; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Brewster of Binghamton and Mrs. Winnifred Sollick of Towanda, Pa.; 10 grand-children, and nieces and nephews.
  Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the New Covenant Community Church, King Ferry, with Pastor Steven Crandall officiating along with Pastor Loren Cook of Milan Baptist Church, Locke. Burial will be in West Genoa Cemetery, King Ferry, in the Spring."
