"Victor Edward Phillips, Jr., known as 'More', 68, who had been a resident of the Reconstruction Home for the past several year, died there on Tuesday, May 28, 1991 after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Phillips was born on May 15, 1923 in Ithaca, New York the son of Victor Edward Phillips, Sr. and Elizabeth Washington Phillips.
'Moose' had worked as a cook for many years with the Statler Hotel, at Cornell University.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife Helen of Ithaca. Three daughters, Virginia Phillips and Joan Phillips both of Ithaca, and Mary Phillips of Rochester. Three sons, Nantambu Bomani of Seattle, Washington, Louie Phillips of Ithaca and David Phillips of Owego."
