  "William H. Martin, 80, a former resident of Ithaca, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 1944, at his home, 59 W. 114th St., New York City, after a long illbess. Before retiring he was a chef on the Pennsylvania and Erie Railroads.
  During his career, he was a chef for the Duke of Windsor, then Prince of Wales, during his visit to the United States on his yacht, The Black Watch. Martin also was chef for Queen Marie of Romania on a  tour of the United States in her private train. He was a member of the Ithaca Masonic Lodge.
  Survivors are a sister, Miss Mayme Martin; 2 sons, Leon A. Martin of Ithaca and William H. Martin of Chicago, Ill.; and 6 grandchildren."
