Catherine A “Kate” Mackall Allen, 1847-1903

“Mrs. Thomas Allen, of 124 Wheat street, died suddenly this afternoon at her late home, of pneumonia. She was about 55 years of age and leaves only her husband, who is a stone-mason. She was taken with a bad cold several days ago, which yesterday developed into pneumonia. Death was entirely unexpected. She has been a resident of Ithaca most for her life. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made.”

Obituary of Mrs. Thomas Allen, Ithaca Daily Journal, January 23, 1903, 6, https://www.nyshistoricnewspapers.org/?a=d&d=idj19030123-01.1.6
