Ida Fahrenwald Sniper

Sniper family on 2nd street. Charles and Ida on the porch. Daughters Ida and Elizabeth on steps (unsure of which is which), and son Charles on one of the bikes (unsure which). Prior 1910

Ida Marie Saxonia Fahrenwald was born at sea on her parent's immigration from Germany. Her middle name, Saxonia, is after the ship she was born on.

Family Recollection

Ida M. Sniper, widow of Charles C. Sniper, died at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, Apr. 17, 1940 at her home on Slaterville Rd.

Funeral services will be held at the home, the Rev. Edward L. Christie, pastor of the First Congregational Church officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

Mrs. Sniper is survived by one son, Charles H. Sniper of Ithaca; two daughters, Miss Elizabeth F. Sniper and Miss Betty Andrews of Slaterville Rd; one sister, Mrs. James A. Baker of Baldwinsville, and two grandchildren,

She was a member of the First Congregational Church and of Hawthorn Rebekah Lodge 163, Independent Order of Odd Fellows.”
