John Letts, Boat Builder, of Ithaca, NY, born in Dryden, NY, son of David and Catherine Cornelius Letts, age 76 years, widower, second marriage, married Mrs. Mary Letts, Housewife, born in Troy, NY, daughter of Abram Gillette and Margarete Gilson, age 60 years old, widow, second marriage on April 11, 1908, in Ithaca, NY.

“John Letts, a veteran of the Civil War, aged 86 years, died yesterday at his late home, 315 Humboldt street, after a brief illness. He is survived by his widow; one daughter—Mrs. Lucy Bagalle; one son—George; a brother—David, all of this city.
He was a member of Sidney Post, G.A.R., and belonged to Co. D, 137th Regiment, New York Volunteers. Funeral services will be held at the Inlet Mission Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Rowe Williams officiating. Interment in Hayts Cemetery, will be conducted by Sidney Post.”
