Mr. Townley was engaged in the contracting business in this city for many years and constructed a number of residences. He is survived by his widow; one brother-L.J. Tonwley of Groton; one son-John C. Townley, and one daughter-Miss Lucy Townley, both of this city.
Mr. Townley was a member of the Masons, Odd Fellows and Craftsmen’s Club.
The funeral will be held at 1 o’clock Sunday afternoon from the late residence. Rev. John A. MacIntosh officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Ludlowville.”
