    There are two generations of Louis M. Massey in Cornell Directory of Staff for 1950-51: *Massey, L. M., Prof., Plant Pathology, 360 Plant Science. - Klinewood Rd., 3-2986.
    and *Massey, L. M., Jr., Grad. Asst., Biochemistry & Nutrition, 330-B Savage. - N. Triphammer Rd., 5526. This census record is clearly for the younger one. A suffix of Jr has been added to the transcription. The 1951 Ithaca City Directory (ICD) has Louis M. Massey, Jr. on the same street, with the same phone number. The phone number 5526 is also the phone number for Mrs. Rachel T. Hanshaw in the Ithaca City Directories for 1949 and 1951. She owned and lived in the large house that is now 2112 Triphammer Rd for many years and after she was widowed, often had lodgers as well as housing her children and their families. The first ICD that gives a house number is for 1953, when the number was 112. The renumbering to 2112 was between the 1978 and 1979 ICDs.
