    Listed in 1949 Ithaca city directory as "Hill Gerald A (Kathleen H) bldg cont 1117 Triphammer Rd, RD1, hdo" indicating that this was his business address and his home address. In the 1951 city directory, his address was 1111 Triphammer Rd. 1111 Triphammer Rd was the address for his wife in Cornell's 1950-1951 Directory of Staff. His 1982 obituary has him at 412 E Upland, which adjoins 1111 Triphammer. This suggests that the lot he owned in 1950, which was over 3 acres, was subdivided over time, with a portion retained for building a house for his own family, as is common with building contractors.
