Reviewer notes: First name on census sheet is "David" with gender as "F." 1940 city directory has "Van Hoesen Alice G wid David N h402 N Cayuga." 1930 census has "David N" as head, "Alice G" as wife. David died in 1934 according to https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/136991746/david-n.-van_hoesen, which has a picture of gravestone confirming that David died in 1934 and Alice in 1940 [https://images.findagrave.com/photos/2019/122/121896171_ae3cd58b-7872-4bec-aeaf-8fbe00db5153.jpeg]
