Notes
There is no occurrence of last name Hillicker in Ithaca city directories. Probably the same individual as "Hilliker Margaret, over 43 E Seneca" listed in 1880 Ithaca city directory. In a letter to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineer's Monthly Journal for July 1879 [see https://books.google.com/books?id=rDwoAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA325&lpg=PA325 ] Mrs Margaret Hilliker acknowledged receipt of money from an insurance policy "on the life of my late husband, Hix Hilliker." Therefore, in 1880, Margaret Hilliker would likely be the recent widow of "Hilliker Hicks, engineer, b. 31 N Meadow" as listed in 1878 directory. No house number on census. Assumed to be in Bates Block based on city directory entries for other individuals assigned to same dwelling number.
