"Two factory built houses have made their appearance on the slope in back of Martha Van Rensselaer Hall"--Cornell Countryman, Jan. 1950, page 6 (https://ecommons.cornell.edu/server/api/core/bitstreams/10c8daa3-fca9-4486-ad2c-3c2db7b54861/content). "These one-story dwellings will serve as research laboratories for experimentation of the space needs of farm homes. No families will live in them."
