22 S Corn St
Description:
This is a vernacular, 2-story, vinyl sided, L-shaped residence with a cross-gabled roof. There is a 2-story addition across the rear and a smaller, shed roofed addition has been added to it. An enclosed porch fills the ell. Most windows have been replaced with 1/1, double-hung sash. The house first appears in the 1883 City Directory. It is the home of Thomas McCarthy, who owned a great deal of property along Wheat Street. This is the only house listed on the west side of Corn between Green and Clinton Streets.
