Chronology of house numbers for 400 and 402 Warren Road
In the Town of Ithaca, house numbers were not used until the mid 1950s. Houses on Warren Road were addressed as RD 1. RD stands for "Rural Delivery." This building had the address 402 Warren Road when numbers were first assigned and had that number when Aldus Fogelsanger died in 1981. [1]
The 1937 "Compass System" Rural Index labels this property as "*Hunn CJ 3NE Ithaca 106F."
In 1941 C J Hunn sold it to Aldus Fogelsanger. [2][3]
In 1952, the lot was subdivided by Fogelsanger. [4]
In 1992, the lot on which this house stands was surveyed [5] and sold [6]. The deed states that the property was "previously known as 402 Warren Road, presently known as 400 Warren Road."
