Originally one of Newfield's many one-room schoolhouses, the Stratton Crossing School covered the towns School District No. 3. The building was sold into private ownership after the Newfield Schools centralized in 1939. The location of the school on HistoryForge is based off a 1938 aerial photo of the area.
