324 Forest Home Dr Ithaca

In a 1990 interview, Richard Pendleton indicated that when he moved to 324 Forest Home Drive as a child, this and the adjoining house (320 Forest Home Drive) were the only two houses on this street east of the old Criddle house (300 Forest Home Drive, at the intersection of Forest Home Drive and Caldwell Road). Claude and Miriam Pendleton, Richard's parents, bought the property in 1924 from George B. Fish and his wife Nellie.

Richard Pendleton stated that both 320 and 324 were built as single family houses. Because of the nearly identical appearance of the two structures, it is believed that both were built by the same person.

In 1991 the house was described as a simple two-story, open gable cottage, with a partially enclosed full width front porch.  It is sheathed in clapboard, and there are one-over-one double hung sash windows throughout.  There is a single brick chimney on the rear facade.

The house is on a flat, wooded lot that borders on Fall Creek at the rear.
