206 East State St. Historic name: Rumsey Block

"Four-story, three-bay, painted brick commercial building; street-level facade has altered storefront (1960) with display windows and a recessed center entrance; second story retains full-width, three-sided, stamped metal bay window with three fixed windows; third and fourth stories retain historic rectangular windows with stone lintels and sills and two-over-two sash; brick corbelled comice at roofline, a single elongated brick corbel marks the eastern comer of building. Built ca.1873; storefront alterations 1960. 
Historical note: Built to house CJ. Rumsey’s hardware store on the site of previous hardware stores; John Rumsey acquired Felton’s hardware store in 1858 and subsequently made a fortune during the Civil War. The company remained in business until 1962. Since 1962, the Outdoor Store has occupied the building."
