Address on 1900 Census 140 Prospect Street but in city directories and other censuses as "Terrace Hill" its own street.
The first Terrace Hill was replaced in the 1880s with a brick mansion.
"Purchase of the Terrace Hill mansion of Mayor Louis P. Smith, by the GLF [Grange League Federation] Exchange, for the purpose of erecting an office building on the site, was announced today.... The present mansion was built in the early 1880s for Mr. and Mrs. John McGraw, E. T. Turner, their nephew, later took it over. The architect was William H. Miller..."
