Year built 1860 from Tompkins County Department of Assessment.

1910 Sanborn: Main block of building has a shingle roof, with a 1-story open porch on the northeast side, a 1-story section with a shingle roof on the east side, and two 1-story sections with shingle roofs on the south (back) side.  517 and 519 W. Buffalo Street are on the same lot.  There is one outbuilding: 517 1/2 is a 1 1/2 story frame building with a shingled hip[?] roof
