"The purchase of two dormitory buildings by Ithaca College, one of them to be named after a former member of the faculty, was announced this morning by President LLeonard [sic] B. Job.
The chapter house of the Delta Gamma sorority at 603 E. Seneca St. will be used as a dormitory for freshman girls, accommodating 35. It will be know as the Hilliard House, in memory of the late Hebert B. Hilliard, for many years a piano and music theory instructor at the college.
The W.T. Thomas house, 510 E Seneca St., which will house approximately 30 girls, will also be ready for occupancy in the fall.
Both houses are to be altered somewhat, Dr. Job announced, with the probable addition of several bathrooms and new furniture."

"Dormitories Bought By College," Ithaca Journal, July 5, 1940, p.3.
