Description
The Stephens/Speno house became a nursing home, Oak Hill Manor in 1954.

"Speno Purchases Stephens Homestead," Ithaca Journal, February 1, 1915, 3.
"Frank Speno, a local business man, has purchased the Philip Stephens estate on Hudson street. The property consists of several acres and extends through  the block to Aurora street. Mr. Speno intends to remodel the estate into a fine home."

"Rochester Firm Buys Speno Home," Ithaca Journal, September 17, 1954, 3.
"The three-story brick residence is already in the process of remodeling for use as a modern nursing home.... Accommodations for 35 patients will be available when the home is opened about Oct. 1.... Future plans call for facilities for 70 persons.... The South Hill Operation will be known as Oak Hill Manor."
