Mr. & Mrs. Solomon Chapman. In 1910 he was employed as a Cooper in the Fred Middaugh barrel factory at 115-117 E. Clinton. His wife Elizabeth, more familiarly Lizzie, was a niece whom he married after the death of his first wife. She predeceased him and he died about 1915. The church steeple is that of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church before the building was remodeled.
