Description
Street Address History:
Earlier street address 46 W Buffalo St.
The city renumbered its streets in 1899 using the hundred block system (see Crandall City Engineering Map, 1899).

Demolished to make room for the new Boynton Junior High School in 1930, now Beverly J. Martin Elementary School, built in 1931.
"All of the buildings on the property purchased by the Board of Education as a site for new Junior High School were sold at public auction today. A house and garage at 314 West Buffalo Street formerly occupied by Alfred Bool was sold to C.A. Warne, while the house at 302 West Buffalo Street was acquired by William Hazard. The frame building at 316 North Albany Street used as an annex to the Central School was purchased by Campbell and Hazard. These buildings must be removed within thirty days.... Each must be razed to its foundation or transferred within the time limit set by the board." Source: "Old Houses Sold to Clear School Site," Ithaca Journal-News, September 8, 1930, 7.
