Description
In Ithaca City Directory (ICD) for 1949 through 1952, Charles Fulkerson was listed on Lake Rd without a house number, with the phone number 3-2365. In 1953 ICD, Charles L. Fulkerson was listed at 805 East Shore Drive with same phone number and indication that the property is just north of intersection with Renwick Pl and W Remington Rd. In ICD from 1954 through 1962 listed at 805 East Shore Drive. In 1963 ICD, there is no 805 East Shore Drive. The house was demolished to make way for the new highway that went from Ithaca to Etna and became the new route for NY 13 from Ithaca towards Dryden.

1961 Survey map of 805 East Shore Dr, presented north up, was prepared for appropriation of the property by New York State for the Ithaca-Etna State Highway Project, using a legal process sometimes called "eminent domain." "When NY 13 was first assigned, it entered the city of Ithaca on Spencer Road and followed Spencer and Cayuga Streets into downtown. From there, NY 13 proceeded generally northeastward on Court and Linn Streets, University Avenue, and Forest Home Drive through the Cornell University campus to Dryden Road, where it turned eastward toward Dryden.
