The 1950 census was the first modern census to enumerate students at their college or university residences rather than their parents homes. The enumerator entered sheets 35A-53A as "Baker Dormitories." This designation appears to refer to the complex of buildings with Baker in their names: Baker Tower, Baker Hall North and Baker Hall South. Census transcription with the use of the 1949/50 Cornell University Student Directory has shown that it also appears to include the dormitories McFaddin Hall and Lyons Hall, also on West Ave.
